Fidelity International has hired Sonja Laud from Baring Asset Management for the newly created role of head of equity.
Laud will be responsible for overseeing the equity income team and will report to Paras Anand, CIO equities, Europe. Laud joins from Barings, where she spent two years managing multi-asset portfolios and was a member of the asset allocation group. She has more than 14 years of industry experience and was previously a fund manager at Schroders for eight years, where she managed several global, European and UK equity funds with a focus on high dividend stocks.
