Cornhill opens Shariah-compliant fund to UK market

Cornhill Management has made its Shariah-compliant WSF Global Equity fund available to UK investors for the first time, following the launch of a sterling share class.

The fund, which is managed by Cogent Asset Management, was initially launched in August 2010. It avoids so-called 'sin' companies that produce or is involved in activities related to alcohol, tobacco and gambling, for example. It also does not invest in financial services and avoids companies with high levels of debt.
