Hargreaves Lansdown offers bitcoin exposure through ETN

Hargreaves Lansdown will now offer SIPP and brokerage account customers access to bitcoin exposure, via Swedish issuer XPT Provider.

The access will be through exchange-traded bitcoin notes (ETN), listed on the NASDAQ OMX, which are now available for online purchase. Bitcoin Tracker One and Bitcoin Tracker Euro are designed to mirror the return of the underlying asset, bitcoin, in Swedish kronor and euros, respectively. Launched in 2015, Bitcoin Tracker One became the first bitcoin-based security available on a regulated exchange when it listed on NASDAQ/OMX in Stockholm.
