The Labour party has said it is ready to form a minority government following increased support from the UK's public after yesterday's snap General Election.
Speaking to Sky News after the results revealed the Conservative party had lost its majority and a hung parliament confirmed, Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell said the Labour party, led by Jeremy Corbyn, is ready to serve its country and form a government. He said: "In our position that would be a minority government and the way that would operate is we would put forward our own Queen's speech and budget and expect other MPs to vote for it.
