Apple shares temporarily fall 14% after trading glitch hits Nasdaq stocks

A temporary data glitch briefly caused a number of Nasdaq-listed stocks, including Amazon, Apple and Microsoft, to all reset share prices to $123.47, causing confusion on trading desks.

The glitch, which occurred in early Asia trading hours on Tuesday, saw incorrect market data appear on a number of websites including Google Finance, Yahoo Finance and Bloomberg.
