Sanlam FOUR boosts Strategic Bond fund team with Rathbones hire

Joins as assistant fund manager

Sanlam FOUR has hired Francois Kotze from Rathbone Brothers to boost the team behind its Strategic Bond fund.

Kotze has been named as assistant manager alongside lead manager Craig Veysey (pictured), who has run the £115m vehicle since launch in March 2012. Prior to his role as a fixed income analyst at Rathbones, Kotze was a senior credit and macro analyst at Sanlam Private Investments. The team behind the Sanlam Strategic Bond Fund also includes macro analyst Matthew Brittain, who joined in 2015. Over three years to 23 June, the Sanlam Strategic Bond fund has returned 29% against an average of 13.7% from the IA Strategic Bond sector, according to Morningstar. FE's Crown Ratings rebala...
