Janus Henderson poaches Mercer's Cheeseman for multi-asset team

Lead portfolio manager at Mercer Dean Cheeseman has left the firm to join Janus Henderson Global Investors' multi-asset team as a fund manager.

His appointment coincides with the departure of fund manager Chris Forgan, who will leave Janus Henderson in August after nearly 12 years in the multi-asset team. Cheeseman (pictured), who will report to Janus' head of multi-asset Paul O'Connor, was responsible for $5.8bn of Mercer's active institutional strategies. Prior to Mercer, Cheeseman was head of fund of funds at F&C Asset Management, where he moved in 2007 after more than six years as head of developed markets at Forsyth Asset Management.
