Industry raises £30k for CASCAID from Walk-and-Talk Night Walk

Hundreds of members of the asset management industry came together on 30 June to walk 13 miles through London in aid of CASCAID, the industry-wide campaign to raise £2m for Cancer Research UK (CRUK) during 2017.

Warming up the crowd on the decks before the walk was Janus Henderson's Phil Wagstaff (or DJ Wags) before Old Mutual Global Investors' chief executive Richard Buxton (pictured) gave some words of motivation to the participants. Walkers, who could choose between a half marathon or 10km route, raised an average of £100 each for the charity, which brought the total to around £30,000. Industry-wide initiative CASCAID has already raised £1.3m for CRUK and has since increased its target to £2m by the end of the year.
