Out of the 77 investment trusts launched over the last five years, the 20 fastest growing have increased their total assets under management (AUM) by at least 134% since launch, while they also all invest in alternative assets.
Research from the Association of Investment Companies (AIC) has found the top 20 fastest-growing investment trusts all have alternatives exposure with all but one yielding more than 4%, indicating investors demand for income. The £2.1bn Tritax Big Box REIT topped the list growing by a huge 980% since its launch in December 2013, and is one of four property trusts in the top 20.
