Aberdeen EMs trust joins peers in reducing management fee

The board of the £300m Aberdeen Emerging Markets Investment Company is the latest closed-ended fund to announce a reduction in its management fee as well as a change in its dividend policy.

With effect from 1 November, the annual management fee will decrease from an annualised rate of 1% to 0.8% of net assets, reduced in the same manner for net assets invested in funds managed by Aberdeen. The board believes the revised arrangements represent good value for shareholders and have been considered in the context of the overall expenses of the trust in absolute terms and relative to peer group funds.
