James Henderson's UK equity income fund rejoins IA sector

After almost four years in the UK All Companies sector, the £430m Henderson UK Equity Income & Growth fund, run by James Henderson and Laura Foll, has returned to the Investment Association's UK Equity Income category.

The fund was ejected from the sector in September 2013 after failing to meet its yield requirements, alongside a number of other high-profile UK equity income funds including the Invesco Perpetual High Income and Income funds, Rathbone Income and Evenlode Income. Previously, the IA's sector definition said funds that fail to meet the 110% average yield of the FTSE All Share for each three-year rolling period will be removed from the sector.
