Mercury AM founder joins Waverton as non-exec chairman

Waverton Investment Management has appointed David Rosier, founder of Mercury Asset Management, as non-executive chairman following the retirement of John Anderson.

Rosier founded Mercury AM in 1986, which was taken over by Merrill Lynch in 1997, where he was chairman of private investors and sat on the executive management committee. Ex-Waverton boss Grootenhuis joins Charles Stanley board In 2003, he also became founding partner of wealth management boutique Thurleigh Investment Managers, which was bought by Ingenious Asset Management in 2014. Rosier has been in the industry for almost 40 years, having first joined SG Warburg, spending eight years as a UK fund manager at the firm and becoming a director in 1984.
