Societe Generale's private banking and wealth management arm Kleinwort Hambros has appointed Stuart Barnett as chairman designate of the board of directors of SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank, following the departure of Warwick Newbury.
Outgoing chairman Newbury is to join independent multi-family investment office Sandaire as chairman of the board of directors. Societe Generale rebrands private banking division following Kleinwort Benson acquisition Newbury had previously served as group chief executive of SGPB Hambros until he took up the role of chairman in September 2007. He has previously held prominent banking roles across Switzerland and the UK, notably including head of Coutts Private Banking.
