Premier AM launches Diversified Income fund for CIO Birrell

Premier Asset Management has launched a Diversified Income fund to be managed by chief investment officer Neil Birrell.

Birrell, who joined Premier in January 2013, is currently chief investment officer and manager of the £52m global multi-asset Premier Diversified fund.  This has seen strong performance over the past year, returning double that of the sector average. According to FE, it has returned 18.5% over one year to 16 August versus 9.2% by the IA Mixed Investment 40%-85% Shares sector. As a result, the firm has now launched a second fund aimed at achieving a regular dividend income and long-term capital growth.
