Rathbones rebrands Recovery fund as co-manager Rands departs

Rathbones is to rename the £62m Recovery fund and cut its AMC for a limited period, as co-manager Jo Rands leaves the firm to pursue interests outside the investment industry.

Rands joined Rathbones in June 2014 from Peel Hunt and has been co-manager of the Recovery fund during this period, alongside Alexandra Jackson. Rathbones said it intends to appoint a "dedicated investment professional" to work alongside Jackson in due course, but for now she will be supported by the group's research team as sole manager of the fund. Meanwhile, the vehicle will be renamed the Rathbone UK Opportunities fund to better reflect its investment objective, which will also be revised to remove reference to the word ‘recovery'.
