Neil Woodford has invested an additional £4m into crowdfunding platform Seedrs, bringing his total investment to £10m, which the firm will use to launch new product capabilities.
The investment will be made through two funds currently managed by Woodford; his £805m Woodford Patient Capital trust and the £267m Omnis Income & Growth fund. This follows the manager's initial £6m investment in 2015, making the total investment £10m. The investment values Seedrs at £40m on a fully-diluted, pre-money basis. Seedrs will use the capital to launch new product capabilities, enhances sales and marketing efforts and launch strategic partnerships.
