Net sales of bonds accelerated from €75bn in Q1 to €93bn in Q2 2017, the highest level on record, according to the European Fund and Asset Management Association's (EFAMA) latest quarterly data.
Meanwhile, net sales of equity funds rose to €35bn while net sales of multi-asset funds increased to €54bn, across the European investment fund industry during the same period. Long term UCITS (UCITS excluding market funds) recorded net inflows of €188bn, the highest level since Q1 2015. All categories in this area saw positive flows during the second quarter this year. UCITS saw net inflows of €174bn in Q2, lower than the €202bn figure recorded for the previous quarter.
