Arthursson to lead new private client team

Old Mutual Wealth subsidiary Quilter Cheviot has hired three investment managers to its London office as it plans to launch a new investment management team focusing on private clients.

Mats Arthursson, Suneet Kumar and James Gatehouse (pictured) will all join the £22.5bn AUM firm as part of the fresh team focusing on private clients.

Arthursson, who will lead the team, joins from Arbuthnot Latham & Co, where he most recently served as a director of investment management. 

Commenting on his appointment, Arthursson said he has "significant experience in managing discretionary portfolios on behalf of high net worth clients".

He added: "I am excited to utilise the firm's renowned research expertise in developing investment solutions to meet the needs of our clients." 

Kumar joins from Seven Investment Management, where he spent nearly four years as an investment relationship manager, while Gatehouse joins from Fiske where he was most recently a senior investment manager.

Davy acquires Danske Bank's £500m wealth management business

The three hires, who will report to managing director of investment management Andrew McGlone, brings the total number of investment managers in Quilter Cheviot's London office to 69.

"The appointment of this experienced trio demonstrates our ongoing commitment to bringing in the best investment management talent in the market and we hope to add to this new team in the months ahead."  

Schroders to offer wealth management services to US expats

The hires add to the recent appointment of investment manager Nikolas Ramsey in Quilter Cheviot's Bristol office.

Ramsey joined the firm after 13 years at Charles Stanley, where he performed discretionary investment manager and chartered wealth manager roles.
