8AM Global switches Philbin's Multi Strategy range to IA Volatility Managed sector

Boutique asset manager 8AM Global has moved its Multi-Strategy Portfolio funds from the IA Unclassified sector into the Volatility Managed sector, which it considers the "most obvious home" for the range.

The strategies, which include Funds 1 - 4, have been constructed to meet specific volatility targets so the group has decided to classify them in the Volatility Managed sector, having previously considered the Mixed Asset or Flexible sectors. Commenting on the move, Tom McGrath, partner at 8AM, said: "Now the sector is gaining recognition among advisers it is the obvious home for our funds.
