The year began with the departure of two chief executives; David Loudon from Quilter Cheviot and David Bellamy from St James's Place who is set to leave at the end of this year after 11 years. Meanwhile, the year progressed with Hargreave Hale being acquired by Canaccord Genuity and Lloyds Banking Group targeting the wealth management market. It was also all change at Old Mutual Wealth, which announced it planned to split up its asset management division.
