Franklin Templeton has integrated its European equity team into the Templeton Global Equity Group (TGEG), with management of a suite of funds to be led by head of European equity strategies Dylan Ball.
The integration will see Ball (pictured) take up lead management of the FTF-Franklin European Opportunities fund, with former lead manager Uwe Zoellner leaving the firm after a period of transition. Meanwhile, lead management duties on the FTF-Templeton Growth fund will be shared by Ball and Katherine Owen. The firm said combining the European businesses made "strategic sense" due to a "significant overlap in mandates", and the shared and expanded resources would benefit shareholders and clients across the strategies.
