Teresa Tennant, co-founding manager of the Jupiter Ecology fund, has been awarded an OBE for services to sustainable investment in the Queen's New Year Honours List.

The Jupiter Ecology fund, which now has £585m in assets under management and is run by Charlie Thomas, was launched in 1988 and was the first equity investment fund specifically focused on sustainable development. Tennant, who is also known as Tessa, is currently non-executive director of the Green Investment Bank. She co-founded The Ice Organisation, which encourages consumers to purchase more sustainable products and services, and is also a co-founder of the UK Social Investment Forum and the Association for Sustainable & Responsible Investment in Asia.
