Winterflood's research team has unveiled its investment trust recommendations for 2018, following a more challenging selection process this year as value is "thin on the ground".
The team has chosen 35 investment trusts to start its 2018 model portfolio, compared to 41 at the beginning of 2017, although throughout last year a total of 47 funds were used. This year's figure reflects a "relative scarcity of value opportunities" the research team, headed by Simon Elliott, said while the success of last year's portfolio presented a challenge for collating the 2018 list.
