Standard Life Aberdeen has committed to a 'gender diversity action plan' after a 42% gender pay gap was revealed in its Standard Life business and 34% at Aberdeen.
In its full-year results today, the firm said its senior female representation was 27%, but said it has increased its targets for gender diversity to 33% of the board and executive committee. As of April 2017, prior to the merger, men were paid 34% on average more than women at Aberdeen and 42% more at Standard Life Group. The figure was even higher when considering bonuses, at both firms men received a 70% higher bonus than women.
