Miton expands US range with small-cap launch

Miton is launching a second US equities fund, focusing on smaller companies, in a bid to find "the Facebook and Amazon of the future".

The LF Miton US Smaller Companies fund, launching on 14 March, will be managed by Nick Ford and Hugh Grieves who run the firm's £412.9m US Opportunities fund, which will celebrate its fifth anniversary this month. In contrast to its larger-cap counterpart, which favours companies with a market cap between $25bn-$30bn, Miton's new fund will focus on companies with a market cap between $100m and $6bn at the time of investment where the managers believe there is "significant growth potential".
