AllianceBernstein hires Aberdeen Standard Investments' Matthews as UK sales director

Matthews joins amid discretionary-growth drive

AllianceBernstein (AB) has appointed Lee Matthews from Aberdeen Standard Investments as UK sales director as part of the firm's growth plans in the wholesale market.

Matthews, who will be based in London and report to head of global financial institutions Jose Cosio, will be responsible for the UK wholesale market, initially focusing on the discretionary channel. He joins from Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI), where he served as a senior business development manager, responsible for growth and retaining assets through the discretionary channel.
