Miton saw net inflows rise to £494m in 2017, up from just £1m during a tough 2016 for the group, with support for a number of strategies across the range.
The group struggled during 2016 in terms of fund flows following the shock departure of UK Value Opportunities fund managers George Godber and Georgina Hamilton, which saw assets in their fund fall from £870m to £280m. It reported outflows of £181m from its equity range over the period. However, there was a turnaround in 2017 with the equity range growing AUM by 37% from £1.7bn to £2.4bn and multi-asset range AUM rising by 29% from £672m to £868m.
