PIMCO has hired co-founder of the United Nations (UN) Principles of Responsible Investment (PRI) Gavin Power as executive vice president and chief, international affairs and sustainable development, as the firm works to build out its ESG investment platform.
Power's most recent role at the UN was as deputy executive director of Global Compact, a platform advancing sustainability efforts and responsible investment across the world. Mobius kicks off recruitment drive for new firm Reporting to managing director and head of public policy at PIMCO Libby Cantrill, based in California, Power will work closely with investment professionals on international policy development and strategy.
