Sales head Gillies departs Alliance Trust Savings amid restructure

Wider reshuffle of sales teams

Ron Gillies, head of sales at Alliance Trust Savings, has left the firm as part of an internal reshuffle, Investment Week understands.

Gillies joined Alliance Trust Savings in June 2016 as business development manager before being promoted to head of sales in May 2017. Prior to joining Alliance Trust Savings, he worked at Freedom Asset Management, which was set up by former colleagues from Renaissance Asset Management.  Investment Week understands Gillies left the firm at the beginning of May.  His departure follows the exit of managing director Patrick Mill last November after seven years at the firm.
