SJP replaces BlackRock on alternatives fund amid raft of changes

St. James's Place has replaced BlackRock's market advantage team as manager of its £363m Alternative Assets fund, as part of the wealth management group's latest shake up.

From 30 July, Wellington Management's Steve Gorman will take up management of the Alternative Assets fund where he "will look to combine both systematic and fundamental investment strategies across a range of asset classes", according to SJP's CIO Chris Ralph. Ralph explained: "As one of the largest investment houses in the world, we believe the multi-asset team at Wellington Management has the resource and expertise to provide attractive returns for investors over the medium to long-term."
