The European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) has published a new stewardship code, which aims to encourage best practice among asset manager members on issues such as ESG and human rights in the companies they invest in.
The EFAMA Stewardship Code, Principles for asset managers' monitoring of, voting in, engagement with investee companies, is a revised version of the 2011 Code of External Governance, and covers company monitoring, shareholder voting and engagement.
