Martin Currie Investment Management has hired the former CEO of Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) and ETF business Source Julian Ide as head of distribution and strategy.
Ide will be based in Edinburgh where he will be responsible for overseeing the distribution of Martin Currie's range of products across all jurisdictions. He will also join the firm's executive board alongside CEO Willie Watt and head of investment John Pickard, bringing the total number of members to seven. Having joined Martin Currie in May this year, Ide most recently worked at passive provider Source, which was acquired by Invesco in 2017.
