Music veteran's Hipgnosis trust returns for second IPO attempt

The Hipgnosis Songs fund, a specialist investment company investing in songs and musical intellectual property rights set up by Sir Elton John's former manager, has restated its intention to list after an earlier IPO was cancelled last year.

It was previously set to list on 10 July 2017 then pushed back until 1 August before being delayed indefinitely in order to conduct further due diligence. It now intends to list on the Specialist Funds Segment of the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange this summer and is looking to raise £200m.
