Hermes unveils plans for GEM small and mid-cap fund for Greenberg

Hermes Investment Management has today announced plans to launch a Global Emerging Markets SMID (small and mid-cap) strategy, to be managed by the group's GEM star Gary Greenberg.

The new strategy will be run by head of emerging markets Gary Greenberg, who currently manages the group's $4.3bn Global Emerging Markets fund, alongside Kunjal Gala. It will focus on smaller and medium-sized companies in the global emerging markets space, following on from the success of the GEM fund, which was named the winner in this year's Global Emerging Markets (Generalist, Equity) category at Investment Week's Fund Manager of the Year Awards.
