Hawksmoor Fund Managers is planning to launch a Global Opportunities fund in September, in response to client demand for a product suitable for higher risk levels.
Sitting in the IA Flexible sector, it will have a minimum of 60% allocated to equities as well as exposure to investment trusts. It will seek to invest in long term structural growth themes, and exploit inefficiencies in the closed-ended sector; those investment trusts trading at a discount. The firm currently runs the Hawksmoor £137m Vanbrugh and £127m Distribution funds but these are aimed towards those clients who are cautious or seeking balanced income.
