The Share Centre: Women invest larger sums than male counterparts

Female millennials invested 40% more year-to-date

Research from The Share Centre has found women who actively invest allocate more money than men, particularly millennial women.

The findings show that although fewer women actively invest, the amount invested by female millennials year-to-date is up 40% compared to the same period last year, while inflows from their male countrerparts is down 2%. The data from The Share Centre also shows year-to-date trades in stocks and shares ISAs made by those aged 18-36 are up by almost a fifth (19%) repeatedly every year. Furthermore, a separate Freedom of Information request submitted by The Share Centre to HMRC revealed that women invested 3% or almost £300 more than men in stocks and shares ISAs in 2014-2015, with wome...
