M&G veteran Hughes joins Lindsell Train trust board

Former M&G manager Richard Hughes, who retired in March after 31 years at the group, has joined the board of the Lindsell Train investment trust.

Hughes latterly worked as manager of the M&G UK Income Distribution fund and previously managed the Recovery, Charifunds and UK Smaller Companies funds over his career.  After retiring in March, the manager has now taken on a non-executive role at Lindsell Train investment trust. He is one of two new non-executive directors to be appointed to the board of the trust alongside Nicholas Allan, who previously worked at hedge fund Boyer Allan Investment Management and Kleinwort Benson.
