Pictet Asset Management has boosted its total return fund range with the launch of the Pictet-TR Akari UCITS fund for senior investment managers Teruhiko Nishimura and Tomohiro Yamaguchi.
The new vehicle is a Japanese equity market neutral fund with weekly liquidity and aims to achieve long-term capital growth with low equity market correlation. It does this by combining bottom-up stock selection with Japanese market specific technical factors and will take exposure principally to liquid and mainly large-cap stocks, while targeting overall beta neutrality.
