7IM hires former Credit Suisse head Surguy as CIO

Follows string of appointments

Seven Investment Management (7IM) has hired Martyn Surguy as chief investment officer.

Surguy, who joined the firm earlier this month, replaces Ian Jensen-Humphreys who has been acting CIO since the departure of Chris Darbyshire in December last year. He joins from Credit Suisse UK London where he was head of investment management. Prior to that, he was CIO of the private wealth management division for EMEA at Morgan Stanley. He has also held senior roles at Morgan Grenfell/Deutsche Bank. The hire follows the appointment of former Coutts mann Terence Moll as chief strategist last month and Haig Bathgate as head of portfolio management on the back of the group's acquisit...
