A guild set up for the asset management community is targeting young and diverse members of the industry to challenge the "male, pale and stale" stereotype of the sector.

The Guild of Investment Managers (GIM), which was founded in October 2016 by Alderman John Garbutt and Mark Henderson, is now seeking livery status in order to be able to promote standards of business conduct in the industry, raise charitable funds, encourage professional discussion between members in different fields and heighten awareness  of investment management among the wider public.
