Morningstar UK CEO Roomans promoted to EMEA head

Morningstar has promoted UK chief executive Mark Roomans to the newly created role of head of EMEA.

The role, effective immediately, will see Roomans establish an executive team to drive growth in the EMEA region.  Morningstar has begun the search for a replacement for Rooman's former UK role and this appointment will become one of four EMEA region sub-leaders.  Morningstar Investment Management appoints chief operating officer Roomans joined Morningstar in 2001 from Mercury Merrill Lynch Asset Management and has held previous roles during his Morningstar tenure.
