The board of the £3.6bn F&C Investment Trust has begun a search for a new chairman, as Simon Fraser is set to retire from his role in 2019.

By the time of the trust's next annual general meeting in May 2019, Fraser will have served nine years as chairman of the board. He intends to retire during the course of next year. As a result, the board has begun a search for a new chairman, which is being led by senior independent director, Sir Roger Bone.
