The board of the £486m Aberdeen Asian Smaller Companies investment trust has decided to change its name and number of holdings in the portfolio, while Hugh Young is becoming named manager.
With immediate effect, the trust is being re-named to Aberdeen Standard Asia Focus PLC, highlighting the emphasis on identifying and investing in small-cap companies. At the same time, Hugh Young will become the named fund manager of the trust with responsibility for the day-to-day investment decisions.
