Hawksmoor Fund Managers has hired Ben Mackie from Brooks Macdonald as a fund manager, as Richard Scott prepares to transition to an advisory role after ten years running funds at the firm.
Mackie is leaving his role as an investment director at Brooks Macdonald after two years; he also spent over six years as a portfolio manager at Charles Stanley. He will join on 2 January while Scott, who has worked at Hawksmoor since 2008 including as chief investment officer, will transition to an advisory role from one as senior fund manager. Hawksmoor manages three multi-asset funds; Vanbrugh, Distribution and the newly-launched Global Opportunities.
