Aviva Investors has appointed Aaron Armstrong to the newly created role of portfolio manager, global emerging market equities, as the firm continues to bolster its equities offering.
Armstrong, who joined from Alquity Investment Management, where he was a senior analyst in the Asian investment team, on 5 November, will report to Alistair Way, head of global emerging market equities. The hire follows the appointment of David Cumming as chief investment officer, equities, in January as well as nine recruitments to its UK, global and emerging market equities teams in July and the appointment of Susan Schmidt as head of US equities in October.
