Ossiam, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, has launched a smart-beta ESG ETF which will use machine learning techniques.
The Ossiam World ESG Machine Learning UCITS ETF aims to deliver the net total return of a selection of equities in global developed markets by using a machine learning algorithm. The ETF will be available in January 2019 on the Deutsche Börse XETRA exchange in US dollars and euros. It is domiciled in Ireland and has a total expense ratio of 0.65%. This algorithm ranks companies based on their ESG and financial potential using data analysis, and will fine-tune its company selection as it learns from the data.
