M&G has appointed Alex Araujo as manager of its £2.2bn Global Themes fund as previous manager and director of global equities Jamie Horvat departs the firm.
Stuart Rhodes, manager of the M&G Global Dividend fund, will join lead manager Araujo as deputy manager. The two managers already work together on the Global Dividend fund where Araujo is deputy manager. Alongside the management changes the firm is revising the fund's investment approach. Under Araujo, the fund will invest in four structural trends: demographics, environment, infrastructure and innovation. It will also have ESG integrated into the investment process.
