Gross' Janus Henderson fund sees assets fall below $1bn

Over half AUM from his personal estate

'Bond King' Bill Gross has seen his Janus Henderson Global Unconstrained Bond fund fall below $1bn in assets under management after client withdrawals and poor performance.

Gross joined Janus Henderson in 2014 in an acrimonious move from PIMCO, the bond house he co-founded in 1971. However, the high-profile move has failed to translate into assets, with his new fund peaking at $2.2bn last February and falling to $950m since then. More than half of these assets belong to Gross' own estate with the remainder coming from external assets, according to the Financial Times.
