Brexit vote: Corbyn tables motion of no confidence

Leader of the Labour party Jeremy Corbyn has tabled a vote of no confidence in the UK Government following the historic Brexit vote which saw Prime Minister Theresa May defeated.

May had already flagged that the no confidence motion would be tabled by the opposition in her speech following the result, which she lost 202 to 432, and said the motion would be debated in parliament tomorrow. If the vote of no confidence is successful in collapsing the government, Labour intend to fight an election so it may negotiate Brexit itself.
