Baillie Gifford has announced the appointment of two new partners, including US equities manager Gary Robinson, as three existing partners prepare to retire.

Effective from 1 May, the group is appointing two new partners: Jan Oliver, a director in the clients department with responsibility for income strategies, and Gary Robinson (pictured), an investment manager in the US equities team. Robinson co-manages the £1.9bn Baillie Gifford American and Global Stewardship funds, and is lead manager on the £251m Baillie Gifford US Growth Trust. Oliver has been at the firm for 18 years, having joined in January 2001, according to her LinkedIn profile.
